Found in a musty old trunk in an even mustier attic, is what we believe to be the only surviving TVSciFi Zine. For those who don't know, a Zine is a website that existed before the Internet--a paper version containing something called "print." Created in basements on mimeograph machines and photocopiers, by hippies high on toner fluid, it kept scifi fandom alive long enough for the future to get here. For that we are forever grateful. We have scanned it here for your groovy pleasure.
TVSciFi began it's life in 1966 as the world's first TV fanzine, dedicated to saving the hit ground-break science fiction show, "It's About Time" from cancellation. Later the mimiographed magazine focused on all science fiction or fantasy programs on TV. It's large fan base was instrumental in getting CBS to shoot "Lost in Space" in color (although they failed to get Dr. Smith written out of the show, which they are still trying to do retro-actively).
Today, TVSciFi.com continues the tradition of reporting on TV Science Fiction and fandom on the many Internets (one of which you are viewing right now!). The obscure topic of Science Fiction Television is almost forgotten by today's nerds, geeks and dorks. Without TVSciFi.com science fiction TV shows might not be found on the Internets at all. Below is the only surviving TVSciFi Zine, from the fall of 1966--groovy, man, groovy. 1966 TVSciFi Zine (Word Document Reproduction) PDF of scanned pages: 1966 TVSciFi Zine Cover 1966 TVSciFi Zine Page 1
