"Re-Imagining" is better than no imagination at all. The good news is the networks have ordered a bunch of scifi pilots for next year, in hopes of finding another "Heroes" or "Jericho." The bad news is they have gone to the scifi idea well one too many times, and it seems to have dried up. Still, until a show airs you never know how good or bad it is. Who would have thought anyone could have resurrected Battlestar Galactica? (2 Comments) |

Sherwood Schwartz, the genius behind the Brady Bunch and Gilligan’s Island had an unrecognized effect on science fiction television. He was the first to present time travel on a weekly series in the classic “It’s About Time.” The series, about astronauts who travel back in time to the caveman days, made front page news when the actual Apollo 4 mission did indeed travel back in time and brought back cave people. |
